Chas- GS Slam Team Head Coach – Chas began performing in 2005 as a dare and hasn’t stopped since. Known in the spoken word community simply by his first name, Chas has competed as a member of the 2006 Los Angeles Slam Team, 2008 Atlanta Slam Team equally starred on the 2009 San Francisco Slam Team ranked 3rd in the nation and recently was a member of the Golden State Slam team that ranked in the top 20 at the Southern Fried Slam competition in Atlanta, GA. With Bachelors of Arts in Screenwriting Chas poetry has been featured on the Emmy Award winning FX television show “Black White”. Receiving high respect and love from the Bay Area spoken word poetry community this is no wonder the Golden State Slam was honored to have Chas coaching our team at the 2012 National Poetry Slam in Charlotte, NC.
